Hospital laboratory
An overview of all POC instruments in the region
- OverviewLaboratory consultants get a quick overview of parallel analyses and ratios, and of instruments needing attention. Select a specific GP practice for a precise view of production and instruments requiring action.
- Communication with GP practicesDEMAS enables a new, direct form of collaboration between primary and secondary care – between GP practices and the clinical biochemistry and microbiology departments. Communication takes place in a secure environment, and earlier correspondence is easy to find.
- Documentation and historyStatistics and history functions document quality and production across GP practices, instrument types, age and sex. Quality control reports can be generated and printed.
General practice

- OverviewSee today’s production, planned tasks and instruments needing attention.
- Integration with the practice systemResults are transferred automatically to the practice system, and all relevant information is sent automatically to Webquality when parallel analyses are requested.
- Communication with the hospital laboratoryMessages are linked to specific instruments or topics, so the context is kept – no waiting on the phone or searching a shared mailbox.
- Support and fault reportingDirect access to the supplier’s support. Technical details about the instrument and sender are transferred automatically, and the reply appears in the same thread.
- Ordering suppliesWeb-shop-style ordering with pictures of each instrument – find the accessory, add it to the basket and send the order directly to the supplier. Includes order history.
- Documentation and historyDocument quality and production across instruments, analyses, age and sex, and print quality control reports.
The future
Continuously developed with its users
DEMAS is developed rapidly and continuously in collaboration with regions, hospitals and general practice, and new instrument types are added as the need arises. The solution currently supports more than 100 different POC instruments from a wide range of suppliers.
DEMAS has been developed in a Danish collaboration between Roche Diagnostics A/S and IntraMed A/S – for the benefit of patients in the Danish healthcare system.
